Our Mission CCWP is a grassroots racial justice organization that challenges the institutional violence imposed on women and communities of color by prisons and the criminal justice system. We are building a movement with women prisoners, family members of prisoners, and the larger communities through organizing, leadership development, and political education. | |||

History of CCWP California Coalition for Women Prisoners was started in 1995 in order to build support for a lawsuit filed by women prisoners at Central California Women's Facility and California Institution for Women who were fighting for decent medical care. | |||
