Maria Suarez Wins Parole!

On Friday, April 4 2003, Governor Davis approved parole for Maria Suarez who has been in prison for 22 years for her alleged involvement in the death of her batterer.

A message from Maria's niece, Patricia Valencia:

Maria Suarez has a date of March 11, 2004. I want to thank all of you for making this possible. Your support, your prayers, and your belief in Maria's innocence and her right to justice was crucial - it was this that held us together in the darkest moments and kept us hopeful. Maria, my family and I will be eternally grateful for your hard work.
