Lockdown show a success!

CCWP would like to express its appreciation to Kirstin Williams and Strong Current Dance Company for the benefit performances they did in March (women's history month) for CCWP and Critical Resistance. Their dance "Lockdown" gave voice to the stories of incarcerated women through a fusion of modern dance, expressive music, spoken word and hip hop. The four nights of benefit performances were not only moving and powerful, they also raised $800 for CCWP and The Fire Inside. Thank you Kirstin and Strong Current for your creative advocacy for women prisoners!
