Inmates & Rabbits at Risk

by AnnaBell, CCWF

There are a lot of us at CCWF for petty crimes doing very long sentences. The other day as I was looking out of my unit "510" window, I saw three rabbit traps made out of metal. In all the three cages there were rabbits that were in there for days. Finally one of the C/O's (correctional officers) went to "No Man's Land" which is in the back of the units. He let two of the rabbits go and came to find that the third rabbit was dead from being cold all night or from drowning in the rain or maybe just perhaps from being hungry.

I know the feeling - it's like being sick, seeking medical attention and not being able to get it. Is this cruel or what? WHOEVER IS DOING THIS NEEDS TO BE PUNISHED!
